measurement obsession?

I had a thought that with the new weather monitor I have installed- I have a LOT of measuring thingos around the place.
  1. Steel rulers, 1ft and 1m
  2. other rulers 4 or more
  3. Measuring tapes, 2 x 30m, 2 x 3m
  4. Micrometer electronic x 1
  5. Logarithmic tables (35 years old!)
  6. matching slide ruler for above
  7. Refractometer for Sugar in grapes
  8. Alcohol measurement- spirits x 1
  9. Alcohol measurement wine and beer x 4
  10. Spirits volume
  11. Wine alcohol
  12. Multimeter x 1
  13. Cooking thermometer x 1
  14. Clocks with temp/humidity x 3
  15. weather stations x 2
  16. Hi-Lo mercury thermometer x 1
  17. Compasses x 3
  18. Distilling temperature gauge electronic x 1
  19. Brewing thermometers x 2
  20. Scales x 4
  21. measuring spoon sets x 3
  22. measuring jugs x 4
  23. Computers x 6

too much stuff- hard to find it Right Now happens a lot.

About tone

Widowed exRigPigGeo 50yr old dad of 4 'teens', is doin' job raisin' kids, misses a lot of things. Family (close and extended) and Friends - an important part in our of life. Likes gadgets, speedsailing, reading (SF), geology/archeology, maps. Coffee monster- burnt out one espresso maker too many. Have to have plenty spare "moccona" in cupboard. Things I miss- Tarn. The rig life and income. A lot of sailing. Tarn.
