Queensland 27 years ago was a virulent almost violent GREEN place to travel through from the coast to the mid SE- where lie Dalby and Miles.
Coming up from an afflicted godforsaken southern state at the time: drought, fires and probably a locust plague too; hitting Brisbane for the first time in eight years back then was a Shock.
Too much green- how could they stand it.
This week, after some drought years and water restrictions… they have deaths due to sudden unforeseen floods.
More are missing. My Adelaide friend has some family up there, I have friends up there. Coastal too, I think. I do hope those old friends are safe.
And in the States where, because you can carry a gun and it does not say that means you have to use it, people cause death not to defend the goverment by the people as decided by a fair minded populace, but cos they don like the situation as an individual.
Natural laws are broken in my opinion with that attitude.
To me, some of the commandments of the Old Book make sense if a socially cohesive and cooperative society are what you want to live in. Or even necessary- like coveting not, killing not. Some. That should be self-evident to fair minded logical people. That have been raised to respect others.
My sympathies to the people that have lost a chunk of their lives to nature and bad natures.
