Livable NooHoose not far away.

The key to the NooHoose is not far away noo.

A preliminary inspection. This showed up a few little easily correctable flaws.

The carpet and tiling look great, apart from the tile floors needing finishing grouting and a final polish. Gas stove. I could hear a hiss- but no sparking to light the burners… As the ciggies are nearly all behind me for a little while longer, there was no way to light up the burners because, well, the mains powered lighting element was not plugged in… because there was no power point available. Duh! And the laundry storage and sink bench needs a few more holes in the sides to allow power and water lines to reach outlets under the bench… out of six or so, a wardrobe door was still ‘undercoated’… a wardrobe has a cheap inside finish…The heater works well! ALL the mirrors work. I think the gap in the study floor/wall area was done correctly, but could not lift the carpet to see- would not want to lose any furniture legs down there! I have been reassured that the builder does not build crappy houses over and over- well, we will see. One hole in the roof was going to be ignored as the silicone dob should be okay! Yeah, right. But the scrap steel roofing was seen near the rubbish skip. Months ago now. Assume without climbing up into the roof cavity that it is done. Outside, needs a scrub in places, the bricks nearly all look the same… like seen one, seen ’em all! Outdoor area ceiling to to painted, the front door porch ceiling to be finished. The poor old outside ‘vranda need some care, every one used that area to bring stuff in and the timber looks abused and grotty- apparently I/We should have been the ones to get some protection out over it…There is some concrete that in my opinion could have been removed, but for some reason, again, not on the builders list. I wonder if that is typical. Build and leave shit after for the owners…

Scuff marks on the walls were noted to be cleaned off by a “Quality Control team” during the week… must have been a Paint Only QC team… cos really, the builder should have been on top of the above little flaws. But you cannot have everything. Overall, looks really good. Pity, I would not mind it myself.
