First Meal, drinkies… And a View from the NuHoose

Far from maddening crowd

Boy, there is a few Spiders…

DahDaaaaahhhh [Drumroll]

My sister-in-law and entourage- (1 hubby, 1 child, seven suitcases) arrived back home Saturday from LA, but with no house keys, had a look around the NuHoose and travelled on to unload and bade ‘ello to her dad at the old place.

Then they came around to see us and we had a few beers and fish-n-chips n Chiko Roll as the welcome back to Oz. They cannot find That in LA!

I nearly forgot the keys! I handed the little box with the mountain of keys to them both. I think Dee was pretty excited, itching etc I think to get out there the next day.

They had an early rise- jetlag?- and started The Big Move early Sunday morning, calling me to help PD about midday with the bigger gear. [I needed some extra Zs due to a happy reunion…].

They have not yet got a TV aerial as yet, but the console games were one of the first things set up, and lighting the gaslog heater!

The outdoor setting was extablished on some prime real estate- the Decking of course! [refer to earlier posts].

Then we all split again, after moving in ‘The Ice Machine’ refrigerator- which took four of us to Carry around the hoose and into its pride of place- The Kitchen, as it was way way too big for the front door!!!

Later on we were back out there for drinkies before dinner, looking out over the lake. [A dull day- no pic- but you can see the view from one posted earlier.] There was only a faint hum from the highway, and lots of birdlife hanging around the lake. Dee had a friend drop in with her gels too, and the kids were quiet in the kids room or roaming in the gloaming up and down the hill and looking at the the different birds going about the lake

Other wildlife was snails and spiders around the decking area and a bird nest with evidence left on the decking, the dirty lil bstds!… Needless to say, Dee had given them shortshrift before the real visitors landed!

We sat down for a spag-bol meal, and then said bye cos we were all tired for different reasons and things to do early next day. I think they were pleased with the new place!
