Moving to the NuHoose

[Not me]

PD and Dee and Dempsey-doo have spent all their spare time  moving out of the in-town-bungalow to the outta-town-a-bit NuHoose late last year.

On the flight home, there was a “Lets stay the first night home in the new house! Yay”.

But the master said to the missus, dunno bout that hon!

They had just flown back from LA after all. So after small drive of three or more hours after getting through baggage collection customs and grabbing the rental car and all that crap probably would not let anyone be a in a good mood to move bedding, fridge etc. etc., from the old to the new hoose as soon as!

When they got back home they saw the immediate rels, which was: had a cuppa with her dad and then they came around to our place for a quick greasy take away dinner and wine with us. Leaving the move to the next day, Sunday. They would call if they needed a hand. Or van and trailer anyway.

As with any move, there had to be a plan. The old stuff was sorted- was it going to the rels or the dump? What was not done by the builders and other tradesmen that I and Ken had missed? Where to put the furniture? Exciting and droll and boring and tiring.

The new decking had a small breeze problem, so that was to be fixed, and a infrared heater installed, so that the frog chorus could be better appreciated

Anyway- by the second night home, they had moved the essentials in. Yay!

And we have had a few beers and wines , snacks and dinners. On the deck. Why not- it has million dollar views of the lake.
